The Perfect Brunch: French Toast

The perfect brunch: Homemade French Toast that is baked, not fried and takes just minutes to cook. With added protein this is even better if you have just hit the gym before and worked up an appetite.





You will need: 4 slices of Granary Bread*, 5 Egg Whites, 4 tbsp Unsweetened Almond Milk, 1 tbsp Honey, 2 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder. Toppings: (optional), Frozen Raspberries, Honey, Walnuts. *Use your preferred bread or that which suits your dietary requirement.





In a bowl whisk together the egg whites, milk, protein powder and honey. Cut your bread into triangles. Dip them in the eggy mix and lay onto deep ovenproof dish. Leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, turn the oven on to 180 degrees C. Pop the dish with the overnight coated bread in the oven for 15-20mins until golden. Sprinkle with your favourite toppings and enjoy! Recipe serves 2.
