Last year, it was my mission was to really step outside of my comfort, or rather so-called “stubborn” zone when it came to skincare. Pixi was a brand that kept coming back to me as the brand to put to the test, with their affordable prices yet luxury feel and the rave product reviews were enoughto sway me. Whilst there are those products I favour more than others, they all do exactly what they say on the tin without breaking the bank, so I am sharing my ride or die, must haves from Pixi.
Something we have all been waiting for
Pixi x Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse, (£24) is not only one of the newest Pixi product launches of the year, but it’s the collaboration we have all been waiting for and it’s nothing short of a surprise to many that this product hasn’t already come to market before. But thank god it came about in the way that it has as it’s the perfect fit, almost like it was written in the stars. Caroline Hirons religiously speaks about the need to double cleanse your skin in the PM, firstly to breakdown your make up but then once again to cleanse and nourish the skin. Having already fallen in love with their cleansing balm, I knew I was going to adore this new launch. The Double Cleanse is a 2-in-1 cleanser split down the middle in a ying and yang style: Step 1 (left) is a solid cleansing oil and Step 2 (right) is a cleansing cream. The cleansing oil is great at removing my make up, even the usually hard to budge waterproof eye make up, followed by the cleansing cream that feels so soft, smooth and nourishing.
One for those drier days
The Rose Blend Oil, (£26) is a beautifully scented, silky serum that can be used either AM or PM before your moisturiser to hydrate your skin, giving it that extra moisture that I’m sure is much needed. The scent is sweet yet floral but also soothing, and it’s when you look at the ingredients you can see why – sweet almond, rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed and rose geranium oils – with these nutrients your skin is going to feel super soft and radiant.
Silk for your skin
Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream, (£24) is described by many as ‘silk for your skin’ and I just couldn’t agree more – it’s soft, smooth, lightweight, nourishing – everything you would look for in an overnight moisturiser. The best part about though is that it’s not a mask so no need to faff about washing it off in the morning, you can apply it as the final step of your skincare routine and let it work its magic overnight.
The multi-purpose product that’s my saving grace
Hydrating Milky Mist, (£18) is a lightweight, hydrating mist that can be spritzed onto the face over the top of your make-up throughout the day whenever you need a little pick-me-up, so it’s perfect for these winter months after a day outside in the cold. The great thing about this is that it really is a multi-purpose product that you can use at any point during your skincare routine whenever you feel the need for a little extra hydration, as well as wearing it over the top of your make up throughout the day.
An on-the-go lifesaver
The Glow Tonic to Go, (£20) are travel friendly pads pre-soaked in their iconic hydrating and exfoliating Glow Tonic, that I already swear by, so I knew these were going to come in so handy for me when travelling. This product will definitely save you space in your travel bag…no more packing a ton of cotton pads and a liquid toner. It’s not only going to save you space in your suitcase or overnight bag, but your in-flight beauty bag too! No need to take the whole box, for your flight just pop one or two pads in a sandwich bag (so they don’t dry out) and you can simply throw away the bag once you have finished. It really is a lifesaver!
